We are concerned that the applicant only "seeks to match" the details of the existing windows. The proposed window section shows a mullion that is much wider than the norm for this period. The window at upper left on the rear elevation (No 11) would be much better if it were replaced with a four pane (or possible two) cf window No. 16

We object to this application. The size and positioning of the containers is inappropriate and, painted or otherwise, an eyesore on the banks of the canal.

While we commend the replacement of the windows, we are forced to object to the blanket 'like for like' by Circle 33 on each of their developments without consideration of the overall aesthetic. In this application the three windows on the rear elevation are very different and should all follow the style of those on the front elevation.

We have no objection to the proposed extension. However we do have strong concerns about the wood burning stove. This is not mentioned in the Design and Access statement and perhaps the applicant does not realise that permission is required. However the positioning of the flue will cause smoke damage to both the applicant's house and that of the neighbours. It needs to clear the top of the building or, better still, be directed up one of the chimneys.

We have concerns about this development. While we have no objection to an extension we feel that the attempt to harmonise with the building at number 84a does not work. The available space does not allow a perfect mirror image. It might be better if the roof of the proposed extension was subservient to the existing house.

We object to this application. This is a very busy junction and thoroughfare in Dalston. There is now the opportunity to reduce the current level of street furniture and to make the junction with Stamford Road safer. We question whether this particular method of advertising and telecom service is required and have concerns over the durability of the equipment and potential vandalism.
2016/4097 110 Kingsland Road Hackney LONDON E2 8DP Retention of mansard roof to provide 1x1 bed flat and conversion of 1 and 2nd floors to provide 2x1 bed flats and external alterations (Micheal Garvey 020 8356 8053)
The skylights, although drawn on the 'as built' roof plan, are not shown on the elevations. They are incongruous with the façade and should be removed. We are concerned that the alterations have resulted in substandard accommodation and would ask the Planning Officer to validate the size of each studio flat.
