Objection based on confusing and incomplete documentation. Failure to provide views from West or North makes it impossible to judge the impact on Drysdale or Hoxton Streets. As the application fails to demonstrate the impact of the proposal on the conservation area, we formally request that the SCAAC be re-consulted in the event that further information is submitted to the Council prior to a decision being taken

2020/0765 Thoresby House 1 Thoresby Street N1 7TQ Demolition of existing building and erection of a new 12 storey building for use as student housing (sui generis) including cycle parking, refuse storage and landscaping (Yvette Ralston 020 8356 1208)

The SCAAC strongly objects to the demolition of this heritage building, a rare survival in the area, the loss of which would cause irreparable harm. Further, the proposed building is completely generic, lacks any architectural merit and its disproportionate massing overpowers the streetscape.
