2019/0042 Flat D 60 Lower Clapton Road E5 0RN Erection of a two storey (plus basement) building in the rear garden to provide ancillary living accommodation associated with the existing one-bedroom unit (following demolition of existing two-storey studio) (Louise Prew)

The Clapton CAAC are concerned that weathering and ageing of the proposed materials may damage the intended stark design and so suggest a more subdued palette at the outset may be appropriate.

 

2018/1721 127 Northwold Road E5 8RL Erection of a rear dormer to the main roof; erection of an extension between the central valley of the main roof form and the rear outrigger and insertion of two roof lights to the front roof slope and two roof lights to the rear roof slope of the outrigger. The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/0805 7 Durlston Road E5 8RP Erection of a single storey rear extension with Sukkah roof and demolition of the existing shed. (Richard Kealey 020 8356 6469)

The Clapton CAAC are concerned that the gardens in this part of the terrace are particularly small and so the proposed development may result in a low quality garden amenity.

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/0688 73 Kyverdale Road N16 6PH Retention in a modified form of a dormer extension to rear (main) roof slope and two rooflights to front roof slope (retrospective) (Louise Prew)

The Clapton CAAC see no reason why the roof extension should not or could not be remodeled to comply with the Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD so as to be below the ridge and away from the party walls.

 

2019/0821 Flat A 124 Kyverdale Road N16 6PR Excavation of stepped front lightwell and addition of new window on front elevation (Louise Prew)

The Clapton CAAC would prefer a more traditional railing atop a dwarf wall, as a boundary treatment, but otherwise have no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/0341 37 Norcott Road N16 7EJ Extension of basement level to side of property and excavation to deepen existing basement; creation of front lightwell and external alterations. (Gerard Livett 020 8356 8398)

The Clapton CAAC are concerned the height of the proposed extension may have an adverse effect on the amenity of the neighbours.
