A prompt 6:00pm start for the TOUR, followed at 6:45pm by the AGM in the Studio Space (note this is a change from the previously advertised room).
Meet at the Perseverance Works, 25 Hackney Rd, E2 7NX, at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start.

Paul King, Director of Perseverance Works Freeholders Ltd, will lead a tour around the site.
In 2016, a review of Perseverance Works by local historian Dr Ann Robey was submitted to Hackney Council which led to this group of 19C industrial buildings becoming locally listed.
Within the warehouses and workshops, traces can be found of the area’s building industry, metal work, furniture-making and leather trade. Since the 1980’s, modifications and additions have provided modern work units for creative industries, demonstrating the ways that uses of historic buildings can evolve.
The listing application cited the ‘cluster of different buildings accessed via narrow passages’ around a central courtyard, and Allen Jones’ sculpture Red Worker.

Information for Members participating in the AGM
We encourage members to read the previous minutes, Annual Report and Finance Report (available soon on this page) before the meeting. You can raise any questions by email before the meeting. If you see fit, you may appoint the Chair of the meeting as your proxy to vote on your behalf. If you do so and wish to object to any matter of business, please make it clear in your email to us otherwise we will assume you support all motions and Trustee nominations approved by the current Trustees.
