Local author Harriet Salisbury will be reading from her book The War on Our Doorstep, an eye opening, heart-rending depiction of what it meant to be an East Ender during the Blitz, told by the residents themselves.

Harriet Salisbury has been a writer and editor for twenty years and has a special interest in the history of East London. She lives in Hackney.The War on Our Doorstep is her first book.
