Mythical Watercourses and Real Rivers

WALK on Saturday 19 March 2011, 11am

An easy half-day hike from Manor Park in the north of the Borough to Victoria Park in the south. Learn about the watermen, rowers, industries and wildlife of the riverside as we walk through Springfield Park, Hackney Marshes and Victoria Park. We walk beside the New River, Hackney Brook, River Lea, Lee Navigation Canal and the Regent’s Canal and follow part of Walk London’s 13-mile Lea Valley Walk. We will stop at the View Tube in the Olympic Park on the way. Bring a picnic lunch.
