– No objection. The SCAAC notes that the Noise Assessment document points out that Hackney Council does not have specific guidance on roof terrace noise levels. This is  an omission that the Council should address.

Objection to the proposal due to the visual impact it will have on the conservation area streetscape. Furthermore, the committee discussed that the visual impact of telecommunications apparatus on streetscape is a generic issue in conservation areas and we suggest that Hackney establishes some guidelines to encourage providers and building owners to mitigate this issue. This could be by positioning the elements further back on the roof, or the design of some screens or parapets to hide them, or any other solution as appropriate.
