As per 2020/2608 (FPP) submitted Dec 2020; The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal provided further details of the existing and proposed reinstated bays are secured and considered appropriate by conservation officers. Furthermore officers should secure a detailed excavation and construction management plan which demonstrate minimal harm to what officers have rightly described as a fragile listed building. [Comments as per Sept 20: 2020/2317]

2020/3491 146a Lea Bridge Road, E5 9RF Change of use of building to provide Buddhist Monastery (Use Class D1) and self-contained residential unit (Use Class C3); erection of single-storey side extension; external works of repair to Listed Building, including provision of windows, doors and bell; hard and soft landscaping including provision of gates and fences. [Note for consultation: Listed Building Consent application also received] [Note for consultation: This is a new application submitted due to I.T. issues experienced by the council. Comments submitted on previous application/s cannot be taken into consideration.] (Gerard Livett) [Application Consultation/Publicity]

As per Feb 2020 2020/0282 We welcome the reinstated D-class use. The proposed extension is modest and acceptable. Our only reservation is the detailed design for the railings which need revision to be more in keeping with a building of this period.

2020/3384 358 Mare Street, E8 1HR Erection of a two storey rear extension with roof addition to provide enlarged residential dwellings on first, second and third floors, new front access, new shopfront and side elevations and blocking of existing side access. (Raymond Okot) [Application Consultation/Publicity]

As per Oct 2020: 2020/2657 The scale and mass are overdelopment which along with the eradication of the detailed form of the existing real elevation, harms the setting of the Grade I Listed St Augustine's Tower. Like the previous submission, the design quality is particularly poor and perfunctory. In plan, the scheme, with its extended lounge/diners is particularly unconvincing and arbitrary.

2020/3410 116 Osbaldeston Road, N16 6NJ Erection of single-storey rear extension at first floor level (Gerard Livett) [Application Consultation Complete]

As per Oct 2020: 2020/2626 The proposal is an inelegant form, which whilst modest in plan is rendered obtrusive by its poor design.

2020/3161 89 Osbaldeston Road, N16 6NP Excavation of basement including the installation of front and rear light wells, erection of a ground floor rear extension, erection of a rear roof dormer extension and installation of roof light to front roof slope. (Alix Hauser) [Application Consultation Complete]

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

2020/3464 50 Osbaldeston Road, N16 7DR Erection of 3 storey rear extension; rear & side roof extension; new front rooflights and extension to front turret roof (This is a new application submitted due to I.T. issues experienced by the Council. Comments submitted on previous application cannot be taken into consideration for consultation purposes) (Micheal Garvey) [Application Consultation/Publicity]

As per Oct 2020: 2020/2181 The proposal is crude overdevelopment with a particularly obtrusive and harmful roof side-extension, which is contrary to policy.

2020/3186 58 Osbaldeston Road, N16 7DR Erection of rear roof extension and four rooflights to front elevation and replacement of part front and rear windows. (Micheal Garvey) [Application Consultation/Publicity]

The Clapton CAAC objects to the proposal. The hip-to-gable form of extension is crude and obtrusive and is not mitigated - indeed made more obviously obtrusive - by retaining the front hip. Four rooflights - albeit all small and two are on the bonnet - are excessive and contrary to policy.

2020/3097 First Floor Flat, 22 Northwold Road, N16 7EP Insertion of 4 x rooflights to main roof slopes and 2 x rooflights to roof of rear outrigger (Danny Huber) [Application Consultation Complete]

The Clapton CAAC comments: Prominently located, this property has two important elevation and the side elevation in particular would benefit from a reduction in the number and size of proposed rooflights.
