2019/1984 190 Evering Road E5 8AJ Excavation of basement with front and rear lightwells; erection of part single-storey, part two-storey rear extension at basement and ground floor levels; landscaping to front and rear, conversion extended property into two separate residential units. The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/2484 and 2019/2483 First Floor Flat 19 Clapton Square E5 8HP Replacement of existing first floor rear window with new timber doors and balustrade (Micheal Garvey 020 8356 8053)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/1656 143 Rendlesham Road E5 8PA Retention of a single storey rear glazed extension (Retrospective) (Louise Prew 020 8356 8613)

The Clapton CAAC sees the quality of the built extension as quite awful, but we accept has little impact on the Conservation Area.

 

2019/2413 1-12 Otley Terrace E5 9RG Variation of conditions 2 (approved drawings), 3 (external materials) and 4 (cycle parking) attached to planning permission 2016/1457 dated 28/06/2016. Effect of variation would be to add rooflights and a new window to the north elevation of plot 9; to change the approved external materials and cycle parking arrangements. It is not apparent to the Clapton CAAC, from the drawings what is proposed - nothing noted on unit 9 corresponds with the description. Therefore we are unable to comment further.

 

2019/2379 392 Mare Street E8 1HP Replacement of existing first and second floor front and side windows of the property (Raymond Okot 020 8356 8080)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/1924 Snappy Snaps 362 362 Mare Street Kingsland E8 1HR Replacement of 1 existing fascia sign & light trough with new fascia sign panel & LED light trough; replacement of 1 existing illuminated projecting sign with new non-illuminated projecting sign. (Raymond Okot 020 8356 8080)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/2198 Land between 21-23 Kenmure Road E8 1JU Erection of three storey two bedroom dwelling house (Micheal Garvey 020 8356 8053)

The Clapton CAAC finds the design interesting but details of the boundary treatment and accommodation of the bin store could compromise the effect so needs reserving by way of a pre-commencement condition - and then careful consideration in light of the rest of the facade.

 

2019/2407 45 Mehetabel Road E9 6DU Demolition of existing conservatory and alterations to existing doorway to rear. (Raymond Okot 020 8356 8080)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/2145 15 St Johns Church Road E9 6EJ Erection of single storey ground floor side and rear extensions (Danny Huber 020 8356 1453)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/2235 8C Stamford Grove West N16 6LJ Erection of a two storey dwellinghouse within the rear garden of 8C Stamford Grove West. (Louise Prew 020 8356 8613)

The Clapton CAAC strongly support the previous reasons for refusal and the comments of the HSPG who write "The reasons for refusal of 2017/2823 are barely addressed in this proposal which continues to harm the setting of the adjacent Listed Building, erodes too much garden space and has inadequate access. This is not a development site."

 

2019/2246 21-23 Fountayne Road N16 7EA Variation of condition 2 of permission 2018/3806 granted 17/12/2018 to alter internal floor plans and rear fenestration changes at ground floor level. (Richard Kealey 020 8356 6469)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/2134 21 Norcott Road N16 7EJ Erection of a rear dormer with associated rooflight and 2 rooflights on front roof slope. (Richard Kealey 020 8356 6469)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the rear dormer and rooflight but the front rooflights are somewhat arbitrarily placed and would benefit from alignment to reduce their visual impact.

 

2019/2488 37 Norcott Road N16 7EJ Variation of condition 2 (approved drawings) attached to planning permission 2019/0467 dated 23/04/2019. Effect of variation would be to introduce an external stair at the rear to provide acess from the ground floor to the rear garden. (Gerard Livett 020 8356 8398)

2019/2455 28 Norcott Road N16 7EL Single storey rear infill extension and rear dormer. Reconfiguuration of the front garden. (Kim Aukett 020 8356 4740)

The Clapton CAAC has no objection to the proposal.

 

2019/1867 Flat B 152 Brooke Road N16 7RR Replacement of the existing single glazed sliding sash timber windows to first floor with PVCu double glazed sliding sash windows. (Kim Aukett 020 8356 4740)

The Clapton CAAC would prefer timber frames - not least because the entire elevation now not match an uPVC will begin the erosion. Additionally, stick on-glazing bars are a poor quality imitation of genuine glazing bars.
